Beach Speech

BEACH SPEECH
The sand frees me
from myself
The sun shines
in my eyes
My reflection
on the water
Calls back to
me a sigh
It's hard to
be a loner
In crowds
forever near
Let the sun set
on my longings
Let me not
acknowledge
fears.
