Happy New Moon in April

It's frog and toad singing time. Mesmerizing sounds of frogs emanating from the pond...puts me in a trance! Saw the bullfrog today. Seems as if he overwintered well. Can you see this one in the photo? I was amazed to capture this shot, like he was on a parent's lap looking up with adoration! In Native American spirituality, they say the frogs sing in the rains, and that's definitely true for today! Heavy downpours several times with winds making me think there was going to be a tornado. I thought of sharing this photo with everyone. It is quite camouflaged but you can probably click on it to see it better. I have quite the relationship with these awesome bullfrogs. Sometimes they truly talk to me and I go out there and sing with them, though I haven't done that yet. Maybe tomorrow...in the meantime, enjoy these April showers that bring May flowers and all the newness growing before your eyes. I hear those frogs serenading the darkness...that black hole of a New Moon out there. I think I posted my poem entitled "New Moon in April" last year at this time so I won't do it again, but I've been humming it last couple of days without even knowing it was the new moon! And I have, once again, felt like the eye of the tornado at its calm center. Not a bad place to be.

Beautiful spring Friday night

A friend sent me an email with this video and since I haven't managed the skill of "embedding" videos yet, I will retype the site and ask that you please click on and enjoy. Took me awhile to realize that all the musicians are playing simultaneously from around the world. It is amazing and humbling.

I've missed my blog ... got "urged" to join "Facebook" but I prefer this blog...not as chaotic and it's what I make of it. Those who choose to "read me" and comment embellish it positively, but the end result is that it is a place I like to go to share my Soul ... my Self ... sometimes my humor and sometimes some anger ... but always offering love and friendship...from your SisSTAR xo

Enjoy some music from Mother Earth:

Have a great spring weekend. Daffodils, grape hyacinths, dandelions and vinca blue flowers blooming, even a tiny Chinese forget-me-not ... and inside the home: my brother's Hoya plant has 2 lovely clusters wide open, my Grandma Haswell's ancient Christmas cactus is blooming again!! this time for Easter with 5 more gorgeous blooms ... a white shamrock and a purple shamrock blooming and my Angel Wing Begonia is nearly as tall as me!! I'm rooting a cutting of it for the daughter of the lady who gave it to me just before she died ... back in 1994! Tuffy Boy has a great garden full of catnip that he's cultivating and pruning regularly! ^;^ and lots of wild violas are springing up everywhere. Soon we shall hear the frogs in the pond, I betcha!
