Not bad for a Tuesday!
GOT A LOT OF COMPLIMENTS TODAY AND A GREAT HUG!
HAD A FREE LUNCH EVEN WITH A CHOC BROWNIE COOKIE!
SOMEONE GAVE ME A BRACELET SHE JUST BROUGHT BACK FROM CUBA!
GOT A GREAT LETTER WITH HEARTS AND MUSIC NOTES CONFETTI!
SOME GREAT EMAILS!!
A BLOGGIE FRIEND IS BACK BLOGGING! (missed you!)
MY CAT "LET" US FEED HIM FROM OUR HANDS ^;^
But one thing ... a good friend's Mother's funeral was today and though we didn't go, he sent us the poem he wrote for his Mom ... and we will be there for him when he needs us as best we can.
We also miss the little stray cat we named Creamy who has come to our house nearly every day for well over a year or more and, we think, we real owners moved away and took him. He wasn't very well cared for and liked being at our house. We didn't even think he HAD a home from the way he was, but he always went back in a certain direction and never spent the night, though he began trusting us enough to let us pick him up, pet him, wash his eyes out, cut mats out of him, clean his wounded paws, play with us and our cat Tuffy ... and he got brave enough to come inside and even get on our sofa and sleep. He ate really well at our house and he was so relaxed he slept right on his back all spread out. I guess it wasn't meant to be, but we will always keep a little place in our hearts for Creamy Boy. He was white with very pale orange points like a Siamese and he had beautiful blue crossed eyes. Tuffy keeps looking for him to show up. He hasn't been here since our friend's Mom died last Tuesday. Like the song from George Harrison, "All Things Must Pass" as difficult as that lesson is to learn.

What Is A Poet?
(column I've had for many years
written by Buckminster Fuller)
What Is A Poet
A poet is somebody who feels, and who expresses his feelings through words.
This may sound easy. It isn't.
A lot of people think or believe or know they feel--but that's thinking or believing or knowing, not feeling. And poetry i s feeling--not knowing or believing or thinking.
Almost anybody can learn to think or believe or know, but not a single human being can be taught to feel. Why? Because whenever you think or you believe or you know, you're a lot of other people: but the moment you feel, you're nobody-but-yourself.
To be nobody-but-yourself--in a world which is doing its best, night and day, to make you everybody else--means to fight the hardest battle which any human being can fight; and never stop fighting.
As for expressing nobody-but-yourself in words, that means working just a little harder than anybody who isn't a poet can possibly imagine. Why? Because nothing is quite as easy as using words like somebody else. We all of us do exactly this nearly all of the time--and whenever we do it, we are not poets.
If, at the end of your first ten or fifteen years of fighting and working and feeling, you find you've written one line of one poem, you'll be very lucky indeed.
And so my advice to all young people who wish to become poets is: do something easy, like learning how to blow up the world--unless you're not only willing, but glad, to feel and work and fight till you die.

Beach Speech
The sand frees me
from myself
The sun shines
in my eyes
My reflection
on the water
Calls back to
me a sigh
It's hard to
be a loner
In crowds
forever near
Let the sun set
on my longings
Let me not
acknowledge
fears.

Waah Boo Hoo Snort Snivel Waaahhhh
Here are some sentiments to the end of my glorious 4 days off from work. Photos courtesy of Bing!
It's been so very nice having a good holiday weekend and my husband's birthday celebrations. All good things must come to an end ... but WHY??? Waahhh!!
Only 3 days then the weekend, so I guess that'll put a smile back on my face! That and the
very chilly air cond in my "cubbyhole sweet cubbyhole" I work from tomorrow. Been very
hot hot HOT!!! So...as Chrissie Hynde of the Pretenders says: "It is time for me to stop all of my sobbing. Yes it's time for me to stop all of my sobbing.....gotta stop sobbing, come on, yeah! yeah! stop stop stop! ... It is time for me to laugh instead of crying ... " well, you get the idea!
Love from your
SisSTAR........back to the ol' Grind tomorrow!

Should've known better
than to make it a day early!

Love you, Sweetheart,
and it has been my privilege
to celebrate this

(Sorry, I have no sympathy
for you feeling "old"
since I'll always be
older than you!)
You're just a Babe!
