Great Weekend

We watched several good movies this weekend: Ultimate Gift and Harvey. The 1st was a real tear-jerker with the little girl who was in Little Miss Sunshine. Both were extremely good. Instead of watching the Super Bowl, we watched a lot of the Puppy Bowl on Animal Planet, which was cute.

This photo I had to copy from a fwd this wkend. It reminds me of all the time I am having to spend on hold trying to get through to insurance companies to authorize patient visits with all the new insurances and their changes after the 1st of the year. It has been so frustrating and downright makes me angry! Can't accomplish anything and if I don't get them, the doctor won't get paid, or the patient will have to pay when they're not supposed to. Grrrrrr!!! Here it is (I hope it will be posted where I want it to...it gets tricky sometimes).
Today would've been my Grandma Maggie Morgan Haswell's birthday. She was 83 when I was born and is the one I still have her Christmas cactus which is still blooming since Nov. 26th. I'm just "nostalgic" like that.
Went to Sally's (Salv Army) last night for a few special finds ... Jeff can't believe he bought a "Michigan" jacket (since Michigan State is his favorite) but hey, it was $4!!!!! 60% off and probably cost $80-$100 orig at Steve 'n Barry's. I bought an awesome pretty pink towel set with a beautiful brightly embroidered butterfly on each all for less than $2!!! Jeff "spun the wheel" and got an extra 59% off! Awesome. However!!! there was a real little boy sitting in his parents' shopping cart squealing at a decibel only dogs should've heard and it sounded like bottle rockets ... it hurt your ears so bad. I called him Pavarotti - perhaps he can go on to be a high soprano opera singer, or at least a choir boy. Hope I don't hear him ever again!!!! Ouch!
We seem to have missed out on a lot of snow this winter, which doesn't hurt my feelings. Weather tonight says some is on its way...we shall see. What will be, will be, oui?
Love and blessings and a fun week ahead to you all, from
Your SisSTAR xoxoxo

Hi SisStar Kylita! What a perfect photo of the dog on "hold" laying flat on his back! My cat lays with her legs spread out on her tummy like a frog all the time. It's so funny and adorable. She also lays flat on her back with her legs dangling every which way! She does this when sleeping and she does the "Frog" deal when relaxing.

I can just imagine all the S*it you go through with Insurance companies. Funny I heard the GOP response to Obama's state of the union speech. The GOP said "We have the best medical in the world" in his response! I laughed so hard I almost choked! People are either in such denial or just plain old "Stubborn" and refusing to accept that we "Do" need "Change" and we cannot keep going back or continue to live in the "Past"! There are people dying all around this country due to not having the "Correct" or right kind of insurance or having none at all...or being denied due to their "Pre-existing" health condition! Can anyone buy a vowel out there and get a clue this country of ours??? I just can't believe people that are not willing to open themselves up and listen and pay attention and check out the facts before making judgement calls.

I just wish you didn't have to work so hard SisStar Kylita. I can just imagine what it must be like for you...all this red tape crap in the medical field..and all the stupid lobbyist now paying lots of money donations to the senate and congress "people" and buying their souls...sigh..

Hope you have a wonderful Chinese New Year of the Tiger, Valentines Day and the New Moon all Feb. 14th on Sunday! Check my blog out to see this happening all in one day.

Love and Blessings,

Rhi

Oops! I made a "boo boo" in my comment above. I meant to say the GOP response to Obama's state of the Union was "We have the best medical care in the world in this country"....what an utter lie!...and to call any other country that doesn't do or feel the same as us in regards to the medical field and medical insurance "socialist" just astounds me! What fear and paranoia!

By the way love the adorable pic of your cat "Tuffy" on the top of your blog.

Fun picture. Insurance and hospital bills aren't fun, but unfortunately often a part of life.

Hey Bud! Top picture! How are you doing? I have been away from blogging again for a few weeks, the new year is always so busy! Is it worse for you at the end of the financial year? I expect so. It is for us. We have reports to write on reports! Lots of it seems very unnecessary.

Still Spring is in the air bud! I can feel it!

Have the most brilliant weekend and I hope the sun is with you. xxx
