Happy New Moon in April

It's frog and toad singing time. Mesmerizing sounds of frogs emanating from the pond...puts me in a trance! Saw the bullfrog today. Seems as if he overwintered well. Can you see this one in the photo? I was amazed to capture this shot, like he was on a parent's lap looking up with adoration! In Native American spirituality, they say the frogs sing in the rains, and that's definitely true for today! Heavy downpours several times with winds making me think there was going to be a tornado. I thought of sharing this photo with everyone. It is quite camouflaged but you can probably click on it to see it better. I have quite the relationship with these awesome bullfrogs. Sometimes they truly talk to me and I go out there and sing with them, though I haven't done that yet. Maybe tomorrow...in the meantime, enjoy these April showers that bring May flowers and all the newness growing before your eyes. I hear those frogs serenading the darkness...that black hole of a New Moon out there. I think I posted my poem entitled "New Moon in April" last year at this time so I won't do it again, but I've been humming it last couple of days without even knowing it was the new moon! And I have, once again, felt like the eye of the tornado at its calm center. Not a bad place to be.

What a coincidence to capture the frog on the statue. Yes, like a child in its parent's lap.

It happened to me too when we were at the bay... able to capture tons of photos of an eagle couple feeding. An awesome sight.

Have a great spring!

Hi SiStar! I'm back "more or less". Just got set up with an internet server today with a lot of help from my friend, the same one I've mentioned to you a few times I'm sure.

I think the frog photo is truely ironic...though I tend to get a bit sqeamish about reptiles and such(yet I love Jim Morrison and the doors go figure) always have. I love their sounds though.

I loved your beautifully hand written letter to me...it was so very very nice and lovely written...thank you so much..your writing is much more beautiful and legible than mine..that's for sure.

Still recovering from my fall. Have Drs. appt. early next week..foot and ankle are not improving as much as it should by now..so we will see..am able to drive, not to bad..but the walking is still not easy.

Thanks for thinking of me..I shall always cherish your lovely letters and cards you sent to me..so special.

Windy and rainey with beautiful puffy clouds here also..am enjoying he fresh air..I get to open my windows here alot..sigh..how wonderful.

I look forward to slowly decorating my new place..slowly but surely.

Please take good care of yourself...because you are one of my best friends...wish you were not so far away.

Have a great weekend.

Love and Blessings from Rhi
