Hi there Kylita...I just wanted to let you know I've been reading your post and their very good, just be "you" that's what "your blog" is for. Keep letting things out. I like what I'm reading..
Sorry, I've not come and commented in here. The housing situation has gotten really ugly, intimidating and threatening (this is what my recent poem is about)but looks like speaking up for myself will mean I won't have to move (they weren't going to do anything about my request for another apt. anyway they just ignored it) but the person upstairs will! I have a new name for management here. "the little mafia".
I hate it when other women (the manager here)try and intimidate their same sex, even when they know how hard it is being on your own as a woman in this world and the chance you take every time you stand up for yourself. Too bad they don't want to just do their jobs "well". It makes me sick to my stomache. But my new friend "A" says she thinks now that I've "called the managers bluff" she will treat me more respectful. We will see. I've learned around here to be very "careful" who and what I say to and who.
I am thinking about you and all your losses and how you are handling them "well" ...so proud of you..keep writing about it.
Oh, I know what you mean about what the credit card people are trying to do "before" the new rules. I got a thing in the mail also. Luckily I'm with Discover and they are not going to be doing this I heard. They started to though but changed their mind! I called them and had a long chat and they also are going to remove the monthly high interest charge (that I've been paying almost from the first)to a much much lower interest rate for 6 months for me! Due to my being disabled and on social security. But they do have other programs for people struggling too. Maybe you can call your credit card co. and find out what they have available? If people don't make a big stink about this then these stupid credit card companies will "win" and they must not!
It's amazing the programs you can find out the credit card companies have to help you out, "but" do not advertise or tell you about unless you ask. Without this woman from Discover card that I talked to sharing this info with me I never would have found out! I really made a big stink, was "tactful but assertive". I haven't used my credit card at all in almost 3 years but have a cash transfer debt. in order to pay for my trip back from Montana to literally "save my life", among other things. I had no choice in the matter.
Well, enough of this...my brain is tired just typing this, so can imagine how you must feel reading it.
"Stand Tall, Stand Tall" my dear friend. We'll make it. Later..
Love, me
That is so funny and yet so true.
Something I should remind myself with at times when I loose faith in myself at work with all these changes going on because of the recession.
I'm lucky that I do still have my job, but of different nature, something new and unfamiliar to me... like a little restart after 17 years of working here.
