Hi there, Bloggies. I must say I don't like this fake time stuff messing with my sleep! Jeff and I were having a great time watching a movie called SWING last night and then playing some games on the computer, when all of a sudden the computer time changed from 2 to 3 a.m.! We weren't even tired! He remembered he was picking his buddy up to go see Watchmen at IMAX at 10 a.m. this morning and it was well nigh 4 a.m. before we went to bed. I finally crawled out at noon after getting up 4 times or so feeling all grogged out. I was dreaming about my aunt and mother who have died and it was quite a lucid dream so I wanted to stay in it and then write it down afterwards. It felt so good to hug my mother again, and talk with my aunt nonchallantly, like no big deal.
I posted this oil painting I bought years ago from a coworker/friend. I just clicked on an anonymous photo from my "practice digitals" and came up with this because it was #8 (like today) so I kept it because I love it and because it looks a little skewed like I feel. There's a beauty to this painting I've always loved, like it is waterlilies in a pond, but also like it is waterlilies floating in the sky. Beneath the photo I have a quotation by the Dalai Lama: "Some people look at the muddy bottom of the swamp. Others contemplate the lotus flowers on the water surface. It is a choice." I believe I've posted that quote elsewhere in my blog because I love it. It says so much to me. Look at the lotus, dear friends and loved ones. The mud is needed for the nourishment and to help it bloom.
I am happy to know that my friend SisSTAR Rhi in Oregon will be moving into her very own home within the next month. She has been waiting a very long time and living with others, a difficult thing to do in the most ideal situations. Way to go, SisSTAR! I look fwd to hearing about all the joys of solitude, new friends, new happenings, and your kitty having lots more room to roam around and explore new surroundings, which I know! you will make beautiful for your soul's nourishment and peace.
By the way, the movie SWING Jeff and I were watching was from the Spiritual Cinema subscription we have, which sends a DVD about once a month for approx $24 which has at least 1 full length movie and 3 or more shorter movies, all of which you would very rarely ever see anywhere else. "Swing" was just awesome. I highly recommended this beautiful tool for viewing positive, life affirming movies, all of which elevate your consciousness and spirit and leave you feeling good or healed in some way.
Right now I'm listening to Jeff's new Robin Trower CD. We get Border's bookstore coupons online all the time and we flock in to see if there's any special treats we can get for not so much money. Since my friend Rhi had posted an Enigma video/song, I got myself one of that group's which had the song she'd posted on it. Both CDs are most welcome entertainment for us. I know this Robin Trower "another days blues" right now is energizing and soothing. I love the blues. We have a big electric blue poster in here with what looks like 2 giant nuclear reactors on it with lightning connecting them that I bought at a Trower concert we went to Sept 2001, just a short time after 9/11. It says "Go My Way" and "trowerpower". I remember wearing my beautiful hand tooled cowgirl boots which were just a teeny too tight and having to stand up all night long. Needless to say, I'm not going to any more concerts that require standing room only, and I gave my boots away to my buddy Kristine (I hope she can wear them!) One of my favorites by him is "About To Begin" a short, beautiful blues ballad. Let me know if you've ever heard it.
The book I'm reading "The Wise Heart" by Jack Kornfield (have I mentioned this already?) had a "prayer/meditation/you make the call" which has left an impression on me as being most helpful to my own self, stating it for myself and others. If I've already posted it, it won't hurt to amplify its awesomeness here:
"May you all be held in compassion.
May your suffering and pain find ease.
May you all be at peace."
Feel the strength and beauty in that, my dear Bloggie Souls. I send you off to "spring forward" into this crazy "daylight savings time" (unless you're the lucky ones who don't get their 'time' messed with!) and wish you special weeks ahead. Twelve days until official Vernal Equinox! It's been raining here solid for 2 days--the mud will bring beauty, I just know it will. Wallow in it if you must, but then bloom, baby, bloom!
Sending love from your
SisSTAR Kylita xoxoxox
p.s. Jeff just returned from seeing Watchmen movie...the rain had leaked thru the roof ruining their IMAX film at a cost of $30,000! But they got to watch it 5 rows back on their regular theater for half the price (hence, popcorn, etc) and said it was the best. He was very enthusiastic about it, so that makes me happy.

What a wonderful opportunity to be able to hug you Mom even if it is in a dream. The feeling should be beautiful.
Daylight saving time sounds complicated. Fortunately we don't have such thing in this one season country... but so worth it when you have 4 seasons to experience.
Watchmen!!! I want to watch it too. Will just have to wait until Sonny finishes his 1st term exam before we do together as a family.
Hope you will get enough sleep after the change in time. Have a great week ahead.
Bloom baby bloom! yes! It snowed on the first day of daylight savings time...like I said March brings all of the seasons into one month and then goes out like a lamb! Love it!
How wonderful to have a dream where you felt your mothers prescence..I've had dreams where I could actually feel the touch of someone dear, even after I woke up.
Not sure if I could handle the watchmen movie..a bit too much action and gore for me...but heard it was pretty good.
Thank you dear friend for being a "dear friend"...
You have a good spring and thank you for the "oh so cute Birthday card"...
Love and Blessings,
SiStar Rhi
